Celkon Mobiles is all set to launch the 7-inch SIM-based tablet Celtab
(CT2), based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich Operating
System, a month after it forayed into the segment with e-tab CT1."Celkon
got huge appreciation for CT1 and currently have orders for 50,000
units from market for CT1 and CT2. The product will be available in two
days," Celkon Mobiles Managing Director Y Guru told reporters.
Celtab comes with 1 GHz processor, 512 RAM and a provision for 3G dongle to access the Internet, he said.

Executive Director R Murali said the company plans to expand the
business abroad and aiming to reach the Rs. 1000-crore mark turnover in
FY13.
"The company's revenue was at Rs. 326 crore last year and as
the market has been expanded to some states in north India this year
sales are expected to jump threefold. As on date we have 11 active
states in the country selling half a million mobile phones a year. We
aim to sell one million sets next year," says Murali.
He said
the city-based company will launch aggressive marketing campaign with
film actress Tamanna Bhatia and cricketer Virat Kohli next month to cash
in on the festival season.
