Dell Latitude 10 Dockable Windows 8 Tablet Unveiled

With the age of Windows 8 just around the corner, Dell has unveiled the Latitude 10, a Windows 8-powered tablet for business audiences.
As the name suggests, this will be a 10.1-inch tablet with a 1366 x 768 resolution and a Gorilla Glass display. It will be powered by an Intel Atom SoC, and storage certainly shouldn't be an issue with the device, as it packs a monstrous 128 GB SSD and an SD card slot for expandable memory.
Other features are going to include dual cameras, including a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM, and HDMI, audio out, micro-USB, and full-sized USB 2.0 ports. Oddly enough, it will also feature an Ethernet port, something of a rarity on tablets, given that most rely on Wi-Fi for internet connectivity.
The tablet will ship with a docking station, which, with the addition of a keyboard and mouse, could effectively turn the Latitude 10 into a full-on desktop. On the security front, Dell will also be including fingerprint and smart card readers for authentication purposes. There is also an optional Wacom Active stylus that customers can purchase with the tablet.
Dell has remained quiet about a number of other aspects regarding the Latitude 10, however, including the pricing and release date. That being said, Windows 8 is due out next month on October 26, so that at least provides a general timeframe for the release of the Latitude 10.
